We introduce: Haus Dienten
The village of Dienten am Hochkönig is an authentic Austria village in the Salzburgerland at the foot of the Hochkönig mountains. This fantastic mountain is a wonderful backdrop for the Hochkönig holiday region.
In winter time you can ski with the Ski Amade pass which, in addition to Hochkönig, can also be used in 4 other ski areas. The 'own' ski area consists of three places (also Maria Alm and Muhlbach) and Dienten is located in the middle of the ski area with two ski lifts that are easy to reach with the help of the ski bus (stops in front of the building) but can also be very easily reached on foot. (approximately 500 meters). Via a small piece of off piste (prepared once a month) the house can also be reached up to 25 meters ski when coming back from the slopes. Thanks to the mighty Hochkönig mountain range, Dienten and Muhlbach are often among the first places in Austria where snow is welcomed in winter. There is no such thing as snow guarantee, but if there is snow in Austria, skiing is usually possible in Dienten. On the Dientener side of the Hochkönig there is a so-called Schneeloch and a lot of snow falls in this hole during a Nordstau.
In the spring and summer the house offers a nice base for walking and cycling enthusiasts. Haus Dienten is located on the edge of the village at an altitude of 1064 meters at the foot of the Sonnberg. Directly next to the house, a number of mountain walks start from the hike to the Burglalm at an altitude of 1600 meters (about 2 hours 15 minutes) to a short, lighter walk that returns to the village via the Bundesstrasse (about 45 minutes). Directly opposite the house is a beautiful winding path that takes you to the church and from where you can walk many routes.
The house is in close proximity to shops (Adeg and bakery), various restaurants and the gondolas. The ski and hiking bus stop 70 meters from the house. You have a direct view of the slopes and in the winter you can ski back very close to the house.
